There are a variety of myths circulating about online learning, and we’ve released a new whitepaper nipping these in the bud!
Here are a few of the myths we dispel in our two part whitepaper, which covers myths about online learning, as well as tips for success for individuals who are interested in pursuing online learning as a means of further education.
One common myth about online learning is that you have to download and learn to use a special program before you can access your courses. The truth is you can often participate in online courses using programs you already have installed on your computer, such as an internet browser.
This myth stems from the mistaken idea that only live teachers are able to present the knowledge required for students to fully learn a particular topic. In truth, most online training programs are actually developed by experienced teachers and trainers.
While online courses can have a cost associated with development, there are many areas in which you save money by using online alternatives. For organizations, these can include travel expenses for trainees, as well as the cost of hiring an in-house trainer to repeatedly give the courses.
