Overview

Nevada licenses assisted living as residential facilities for groups through the Bureau of Health Care Quality and Compliance, under NAC Chapter 449\. NAC 449.196(1)(f) requires 8 hours of training a year. Caregivers who help residents with medication need 16 hours of approved medication management training before starting, then 8 hours of medication training every year, under NAC 449.196(3). The 4 hours within 60 days of hire is NAC 449.2758, for facilities serving elderly or disabled persons, not NAC 449.196.
