The YMCA Staff Training Program provides a complete orientation and professional development solution for YMCA employees. Designed to be delivered over two days, this program covers both YMCA-specific training requirements and general workplace skills that prepare staff to support participants safely and effectively. Courses include YMCA back safety, bloodborne pathogens, bullying prevention, effective lifeguarding, youth protection, harassment and discrimination, hazard communication, and preventing slips and falls. In addition, staff complete modules on communication, customer service, conflict resolution, stress management, teamwork, and discipline techniques for child care settings. This program helps YMCA organizations standardize staff training, improve safety, and enhance the quality of service delivery across programs.
