Why this program exists

Built for DC’s QIDP workforce needs

DC’s waiver language recognizes that a bachelor’s degree in any field, paired with an approved equivalent combination of continuing education in human services, may satisfy the educational foundation needed for certain QIDP-related roles.

This DC DDS-approved program gives eligible learners a structured route through human services, intellectual and developmental disabilities, person-centered supports, rights, documentation, health and safety, and service coordination. It also gives provider organizations cleaner completion documentation for their files.

Learners sponsored by eligible DC Coalition member organizations can select the Coalition member rate in the enrollment form. Provider organizations should still confirm role-specific eligibility and internal documentation requirements for each learner.

Professional training, LMS delivery, and certificate proof

Learners get the same modern course experience as the new LMS, with completion documentation that provider teams can keep on file.

This is a 7-week cohort-based program. Learners move through the course together through self-paced trainings, readings, discussion posts, peer reflection, case-based activities, knowledge checks, quizzes, and a final assessment.
