The fastest growing human services e-learning platform

Maine, meet the training platform built for your requirements.

If you’ve found yourself scrambling to meet compliance under Maine’s new Home and Community Support Services rule — Social Role Valorization before unsupervised care, nurse-developed training on the preventable causes of death at orientation and every year — you are not alone. TeTS has a full Maine DSP requirement pathway, developed by a registered nurse to meet the state’s requirements, and an affordable LMS that tracks every one of these courses plus anything else you assign your staff from our 800-course library.

New Maine rule — 10-144 CMR Ch. 108: SRV + preventable-death training, mapped

10-144 CMR Ch. 108, mapped

Every Ch. 108 training requirement, one pathway

Maine’s Home and Community Support Services Licensing Rule (10-144 CMR Ch. 108, effective December 2025) names the training the agency itself must provide: a site-specific orientation before any unsupervised care, annual in-service, nurse-developed training on the preventable causes of death, and infection prevention with observed competency. The rule names topics, not vendors — there is no approved list and nothing to submit. TeTS maps each topic to coursework and tracks the orientation, annual and 180-day clocks per employee.

Developed by a registered nurse, because the rule says so

Section 11(D)(4) is the clause that catches agencies: the preventable-causes-of-death training must be developed by a licensed nurse, delivered at orientation and again every year, and cover choking, aspiration, constipation and bowel obstruction, seizures, dehydration and sepsis. Our Maine pathway was developed by a registered nurse to meet exactly that, alongside the first Social Role Valorization course built for direct support professionals. Assign the pathway, and every new hire and every anniversary is enrolled, reminded and documented for you.
