The Annual Maryland DDA Core Trainings Extended (12 Hours) program is designed to meet and exceed the training requirements established by Maryland's Developmental Disabilities Administration (DDA) under COMAR regulations. This package provides Direct Support Professionals with a complete learning experience that covers all required core courses as well as additional important topics that strengthen staff readiness. Included are the nine mandatory COMAR courses such as communication skills, rights of individuals, principles of behavior change, and community integration. In addition, learners complete courses in bloodborne pathogens and incident management in cases of abuse, expanding their knowledge beyond the minimum standards. This combination ensures that staff are not only compliant but also fully prepared to handle the wide range of responsibilities required in direct care.
