Connecticut does not license adult day centers through the Department of Public Health. Centers that serve clients of the Connecticut Home Care Program for Elders must be certified by the Connecticut Association of Adult Day Centers (or a DSS designee) under Conn. Agencies Regs. §17b-342-2. The regulation requires a full-time program administrator, RN consultation during the operating day and at least one direct care staff member for every seven participants. Medical model centers must also offer ongoing staff training on a regular basis. The regulation does not set specific training hours; detailed training standards come from CAADC certification.

Guidance when you need it
Centers keep CAADC certification to keep serving DSS clients. Training frequency beyond 'regular' ongoing training is set by the certification standards, not the regulation.
